youthful age that he likely wouldn't make the majors

SS drew tremendous praise as he made an
immediate impact in the minors.  He is a great

When this Chicago Cub made
his MLB debut on May 7, 2010,
The 20-year-old became the
youngest shortstop to make his
Cubs debut   Castro also
became the first player in MLB
history to drive in six runs in his
debut. The young shortstop
homered in his first big league
at-bat, a three-run shot.  That
achievement enabled him to
become the third-youngest
player to earn that
accomplishment.  The new Cub
also added a three-run triple to
help power the Cubs to a 14-7
win over the Reds.
When Castro homered in his
first major league at bat, he
became the 105th player to do
so in history.
