  • This franchise moved from Seattle in 2008 and dropped the
    SuperSonics name in favor of the Thunder.  While in Seattle the
    franchise claimed one NBA Championship which was earned in
    1979.
  • The team competes in the NorthWest Division in the NBA's
    Western Conference.  As the Thunder, the franchise won its first
    division title in the 2010/11 season.
  • The team plays in the Oklahoma City Arena which was formerly
    known as the Ford Center.  OKC has played there since 2008.
  • Rumble the Bison is the Thunder's mascot.  Rumble won NBA
    Mascot of the Year honors in 2008/09.

Fast Breaking Towards the NBA Finals
  • Round (1): The Thunder entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed and
    matched up against the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks in
    the opening round.  With a 4-0 series sweep, OKC routed the Mavs out
    of the playoffs and guaranteed that a new champion would be crowned
    in 2012.  James Harden led Oklahoma City with 29 points in the series
    clinching game.
  • Round (2): OKC rolled the Lakers in a 4-1 series win.  It's now on to the
    NBA Western Conference finals against San Antonio.  With a win in that
