|
Francisco Liriano Quiets the White Sox: Liriano pitched the first no-hitter of the 2011 MLB season when he and the Twins shutout the Chicago White Sox 1-0 on May 3. Liriano's no-hitter was the fifth for the franchise since moving to Minnesota in 1961.
To celebrate this event, find Francisco Liriano No-Hitter Ticket Frames and display your ticket and memories of this historic event.
Entering the season, Jim Thome stood at 589 career home runs. And with the power and hitting skill that he displayed in 2010, Thome is likely to eclipse the 600 Home Run mark in mid-season. Despite turning 40 last August, Thome batted .283 and hit 25 HR's in just 108 games.
Heading into the season, the Twins 1B ranked 8th in career MLB Home Runs. Only seven major leaguers have hit 600+ HR's in their MLB career. If Thome can surpass Sosa's 609 career home run mark, he will then move from 8th to 7th place on all-time list.
Once the Peoria, IL native hits HR #600 a series of collectibles will be available from the historic event including framed photos, plaques and Jim Thome #600 Home Run Ticket Frames for fans who were there to witness the event.
