9/1 vs. Appalachian State: A horrible defeat for the Wolverines despite a great performance from Mike Hart who ran for three TD's and 188 yards. Hart had a tremendous run late in the game to set Michigan up for a come from behind win, but fate proved otherwise.

9/8 vs. Oregon: Despite the Wolverines worst loss since 1968, Hart managed to run for 127 yards. However Michigan's fall from grace is hurting Hart's Heisman run.

9/15 vs. Notre Dame: Helped the Wolverines get their first W of the season (38-0) with 187 yards rushing and 14 yards receiving.

9/22 vs Michigan: Mike Hart led Michigan to their ninth straight win over Penn State by running for 153 yards and 1 TD on a career high 44 carries. Michigan improved to 2-2 with a 14-9 win in Ann Arbor. Hart's carrying Michigan on his shoulders has breathed some life into his Heisman campaign.

9/29 vs Northwestern: Mike Hart rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown as Michigan defeated upset minded Northwestern 28-16. Michigan improves to 3-2. Heisman Note: Despite surpassing 100 yards and adding a score, Hart needed to gain more than 3.5 yards per carry to impress Heisman voters.

10/6: vs. Eastern Michigan: Mike Hart became Michigan's all-time rushing leader during Big Blue's 33-22 win over Eastern Michigan. Hart gained 215 yards which upped his career total to 4655 yards while surpassing Anthony Thomas. Hart added 3 TD's on the ground.

10/13: vs. Purdue: Mike Hart set a school record with his 7th straight 100-yard game in a 48-21 win over Purdue. However Hart missed the 2nd half after injuring his ankle before half time. Hart finished with 102 yards & 2 TD's. Hart must rebound quickly from the injury to gain Heisman momentum

10/20 vs. Illinois: Mike Hart did not play in the Wolverines 27-17 victory due to the ankle injury sustained the week before. Heisman note: With the strong Heisman push by Tim Tebow and others, Hart being sidelined is a blow to his Heisman chances.

11/3 vs. Michigan State: Despite battling an injury,Mike Hart rushed 15 times for 110 yards as Michigan outlasted their in-state rival 28-24.
