Towards the end of the McKnight's 2007
freshman season, the blazing TB flashed the
potential that had him regarded as a 5-star
recruit.  McKnight gained 259 yards of total
offense and 2 TD's against UCLA and Illinois.
Expect McKnight to carry more of the load for the
Trojans in 2008 and don't be surprised if he

Joe McKnight Recruitment
From LA to LA
Despite having his high school football career impacted
by Hurricane Katrina, Joe McKnight still emerged to be
one of the most sought after Louisiana recruits since
Marshall Faulk.
Living near New Orleans, McKnights home was
destroyed by Katrina and McKnight was forced to play
some of his high school in North Louisiana.  
McKnight was regarded as a 5-star recruit and the 2nd
most sought after player next to QB Jimmy Clausen.  LSU
and USC were the two primary leaders in his recruitment
as both schools wanted the services of his 4-3, 40-yard
dash speed and open field vision that drew comparisons
to Reggie Bush.
