This former Florida Gator is highly regarded for
not only possessing tremendous coverage
skills, but for being an excellent tackler as well.  
Haden was the first true freshman to start at
cornerback for the Gators and started every
game during his three year span at Florida.  In
his final season, the Gators junior earned
All-American honors after posting four
Interceptions, three sacks and two forced
fumbles.
What NFL Scouts are saying about Joe Haden
Although his speed has been in question, this defensive back was able to run a 4.43 40-yard
dash at his University of Florida pro day.  That speed combined with his well respected cover
and tackling skills have him projected as no later than a mid first round 2010 NFL Draft
prospect.

A Career with "Friendly" Beginnings
Haden was a record-setting quarterback at Friendly High School in Fort Washington,
Maryland.  The future Florida Gator set the Maryland public school record with 7,371 career
passing yards while tying the career TD passing mark of 80 TD's.  The recruiting trail was hot
for this four-star prospect who was listed as the #3 athlete in the nation by Rivals.  In the end,
Florida won the services of Haden over Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee.
