Heisman Trophy bragging rights were first gained by the University
of Chicago when Jay Berwanger was declared college football’s
best player.  Since then countless universities have launched
intense promotional campaigns for their Heisman Trophy
candidates in an effort to impress Heisman voters nationwide.
Despite decades of success, there are many solid programs such
as Alabama, Clemson, Washington and Arkansas that have never
tasted Heisman fame.  Listed below are the schools that have had
the most players recognized as the nation’s best and other
programs that have yet to taste Heisman Trophy glory.
