Hasheem Thabeet was a three year
force at UConn and was a major force
in leading the Huskies to the 2009
NCAA Final Four.  In his final season
at UConn, Thabeet averaged 13.6
points per game while hauling in 10.8
rebounds per contest.  Thabeet has
the ability to dominate a game in
many facets.  That trait was quite
evident against Seton Hall in the 2009
season when Thabeet scored 25
points and grabbed 20 rebounds in a
62 to 54 win.  Thabeet was the Big
East Defensive Player of the Year &
Co-Big East Player of the Year.

mind, Dikembe Mutombo.  Thabeet is expected

Tabeet began playing basketball in
secondary school in Tanzania.  As a
member of his school basketball team, he
was picked to play in the East Africian
Games in Kenya.  While in the tournament
he was discovered and was offered him a
scholarship.
