Darren McFadden: 2007 Heisman Trophy Resume
Hoping to run "Hog Wild" in 2007.
McFadden 2007 Heisman Candidacy Preview

Darren McFadden heads into the 2007 campaign as the Heisman Trophy
favorite after finishing 2nd in the Heisman voting in 2006.  McFadden adds
multi-dimmensional skills with his ability to rack up yardage and points
with his impressive rushing, receiving and return capabilities.  Just to add
more excitement, McFadden lined up at the quarterback position in the
innovative Arkansas Razorback offense.
Having to rush against stingy SEC defenses in 2006, McFadden rushed for
1558 yards and 14 Td's. The  6-2, 213 pound bruiser averaged 5.8 yards
per carry.  McFadden who won the Doak Walker Award in 2006 for being
the nation's best running back, will be a junior in 2007.

9/1 vs Troy: McFadden displays his multi-dimensional talents  by
running for one score and passing for another in the Razorback's
46-26 win.  McFadden added 151 yards rushing.  McFadden's TD
toss covered 42 yards.

9/15 vs. Alabama: At Bama, McFadden led a tremendous comeback
attempt against the Crimson Tide.  Despite taking the lead, Bama
answered and won the game.  Losses are not good on the
Heisman Resume!
McFadden was a force, running 33 times for 195 yards and 2TD's.
Cramps & a concussion kept him off the field when Arkansas had
the ball late trying to ice the game.  The Razorbacks had to punt and
the rest is history.

9/22 vs. Kentucky: Despite running 29 times for 173 yards and a
TD, McFadden's efforts aren't enough as the Razorbacks lose their
2nd game in a row.  McFaddens Heisman hopes take a blow with
this 42-29 loss.
Arkansas must rebound strongly to reignite McFadden's Heisman
bid.

9/29:  vs. North Texas: In a 66-7 cakewalk over North Texas,
McFadden rushed 19 times for 138 yards and two TD's.   McFadden
split carries with other Hog RB's as Arkansas rushed for 446 yards.
Not a huge night for McFadden, but at least Arkansas got back in the
win column.

10/13 vs. Auburn:  Disaster game for the Hogs and McFadden.
Arkansas now has 3 SEC losses and McFadden was held to 43
yards on 17 carries in Auburn's 9-7 win.

McFadden better don a Superman cape very quickly

10/20 vs. Ole Miss: Arkansas beat the Rebels 44 to 8, but McFadden
played 2nd fiddle to fellow Razorback RB Felix Jones.  McFadden
outgained Jones 110 yards to 101, but it was Jones who scored 2
TD's.

McFadden's Heisman campaign can ill afford for him to not even
be his team's leading rusher.

10/27 vs. Fla. Int.: In a breather 58-10 win for the Hogs, McFadden
scores 4 TD's while rushing just 19 times for 61 yards.  McFadden
added 22 receiving yards.  McFadden was only the 3rd leading
rusher for the team. Heisman Note:  Needed more yardage, but 4
TD's was a nice touch.

11/3 vs. South Carolina: In a wild 48-36 win over the Gamecocks,
McFadden displayed his talents that had him as the top Heisman
choice heading into the season.  McFadden had 35 carries for 323
yards and 1 TD (an 80-yard burst).  McFadden also added a 23 yard
TD pass and 4 yards receiving.

11/10 vs. Tennessee: In a 34-13 road loss to the Volunteers,
McFadden failed to generate any additional momentum.  Mcfadden
rushed for 117 yards, but failed to score.

11/17 vs. Mississippi State: In a 45 to 31 win over the visiting
Bulldogs, McFadden was a triple play force as he displayed his
rushing, receiving and passing skills.  McFadden rushed 28 times
for 88 yards, netted 50 yards receiving & 1 TD and also competed a
24 yard TD pass.

11/23 vs. LSU:  Darren McFadden delivers an epic Heisman
performance as he helps to stun the #1 ranked Tigers in Baton
Rouge with 206 yards rushing, 3 rushing TD's and 1 TD pass.
McFadden played QB for much of the game and displayed huge
Heisman credentials.

Vital Stats through 12 games
304 carries for 1,725 yards (5.7 Avg.)
Rush TD's 15   Receiving yards 164 (1TD)
Passing 6 of 11 for 123 yards and 4 TD's

Heisman Note:  McFadden actually exceeds his stats from 2006
and has an amazing Heisman defining moment with the Hogs
stunning performance over top-ranked LSU
