Pondering on his past at FSU
|
Since Ponder only threw 18 passes as a freshman in 2007, the vast majority of his statistics were generated in three seasons as the Seminoles starting quarterback.
2008: As a sophomore, he completed 177 of 318 passes (55.7%) for 2,006 yards, 14 TD's and 13 Int's. Ponder saw action in all 13 games and helped lead FSU to a 9-4 season.
2009: As a junior, he completed 227 of 330 passes (68.8%) for 2,717 yards while compiling a 14-7 TD/Int ratio. Ponder did not play the last four games of the season and finished 4-5 as the team's starting QB that season.
2010: For his final season at FSU, Ponder completed 184 of 299 passes for 2,044 yards, 20 TD's and 8 Int's. He played in 11 of the team's 13 games, but missed the Clemson and Virginia Tech games. Highlights for his senior year included guiding the Seminoles to wins over Miami (45-17) and Florida (31-7)
In perhaps his brightest moment while wearing a Missouri uniform, Gabbert led the Tigers to a 26-27 mid-season upset of the Oklahoma Sooners
