While at Missouri
|
Since Gabbert only threw 13 passes as a freshman in 2008, the vast majority of his statistics were generated in two seasons as the Tigers starting quarterback.
2009: Filling in for the departed Chase Daniel, Gabbert completed 262 of 445 passes (58.9%) for 3,593 yards. His 24-9 TD/Int ratio was an impressive figure for his first year as a starter. On the ground, he gained 204 yards and scored 3 TD's. Missouri finished with an 8-5 season following a loss to Navy in the Texas Bowl.
2010: As a junior, Gabbert completed 301 of 475 passes (63.4%) for 3,186 yards while compiling a 16-9 TD/Int ratio. The Mizzou signal caller rushed for 232 yards and 5 TD's for the Tigers who posted a 10-3 season.
In perhaps his brightest moment while wearing a Missouri uniform, Gabbert led the Tigers to a 26-27 mid-season upset of the Oklahoma Sooners
